Solely owned by nutritional chef Matthew Ballenden, Fresh Earth Food Store is based at 103 Komatie Road, Emmarentia. We are open from 08h00 until 18h00, Mondays to Fridays (Restaurant closes at 17h00) and 08h00 until 16h00 on Saturdays.

Our passion lies in creating a new understanding of health and sustainability through a combination of modern world creations and the reintroduction of some forgotten principles.

With our love of great food and the inherent understanding of the importance of conscious eating, we have done our best to bring you an eating and shopping experience that adds value to your life in every possible way.

Fresh Earth Food Store will continue to offer a complete shopping experience for the discerning consumer. Our name stands for authentic, sustainable and responsible living. Here you can shop knowing that you are serving yourself as well as the greater good of our planet.

Matthew loves to create the best quality meals from scratch, because he knows that food in its purest form – untainted by artificial additives, sweetners, colourants and preservatives – is the best tasting and most nutritious food available.

And this food is readily available from the store’s Vegetarian Restaurant, which offers a full a la carte menu, weekday buffets and an all-you-can-eat buffet on Saturdays appropriately dubbed the ‘Table of Abundance’. Only natural and organic ingredients are used.

Matthew also offers informal nutritional cooking classes monthly. Both entertaining and informative, these classes are booked well in advance and are a must for anyone wanting to expand their repertoire of tasty, healthy ingredients and discover new mealtime experiences.
